Dominique Prothro is a counseling intern under the supervision of Dawn Jones, LPC (Lic. #2018022949). She is a Master of Social Work student at Washington University in St. Louis and is dedicated to providing compassionate and culturally responsive mental health care. Dominique brings experience in direct client support, psychoeducational groups, and behavioral interventions informed by DBT and ABA approaches.
She has supported children, adolescents, and families through her work as a Registered Behavior Technician, where she provides individualized behavior interventions and social–emotional skill-building. In previous roles, Dominique also worked with college students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them strengthen daily living skills, independence, and coping strategies. These experiences allow her to take a thoughtful, supportive, and client-centered approach to care.
Dominique holds a magna cum laude bachelor’s degree in psychology from Howard University and additional certifications in ABA and QPR Suicide Prevention. She is passionate about creating safe and inclusive spaces where individuals feel understood and empowered throughout their healing process.
She is excited to continue growing clinically at Legacy while deepening her work in trauma-informed and strengths-based care.
